Welcome to Personal Learning Networks
Welcome ActivCarolinas participants!
Many education professionals are reaching out through social networks to connect with other professionals. The reason for communicating with those who have similar positions or interests to learn and share their experitice and experience so individuals can grow as teaching professionals. This network of professionals is known as a Personal Learning Network (PLN). Many have members who start out as members of a PLN have become personal friends as well.
My session on Personal Learning Networks will explain why you should develop a PLN, how it works, how to set up a PLN, and what to do as you build your network. There will be demonstrations on how Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Edmodo, Schoology, are used to build strong PLN's. Below are some resources to help you start and build your own Personal Learning Network.
